Now in its ninth year, this free annual Highland Park street festival of the arts showcases fine arts and crafts from around the region and highlights Highland Park as a creative, multi-cultural, dynamic community. The festival draws crowds of art enthusiasts, local residents, and visitors from around the region as they stroll along downtown Highland Park's main street and enjoy not only the artistic offerings but also live music and other entertainment, food from local restaurants, children's activities, promotional booths, and much more.
Participants display and sell their work under tents along Raritan Avenue, and participate in the festival's juried art show. The art show features cash awards for first, second, and third places in seven categories: Painting, Sculpture, Photography, Fine Crafts, “Green” (recycled/found), Graphics/Drawing/Printmaking, and Mixed Media.
